Christmas in Durango

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
— Irving Berlin

This is what I woke up to on Christmas morning . . .

White Christmas in Durango

But Christmas started much earlier here . . . The first week in December Dondi brought over her Christmas decorations for the Ranch House . . .  box after box of wreaths and garlands and lights and ornaments and table decorations and a 10-foot-tall Christmas tree.  When I finished putting it all together, here is what it looked like.  (Click arrows to page through photos.)

On Christmas Eve, Dondi and I went to Cynthia and Rey’s house for wine and cheese and ham sliders and cold shrimp, and on Christmas morning I went to their house for coffee and gift exchange.

Everyone came to my house for Christmas dinner . . . and I took not a single photograph  : (

But we had good food and conversation  . . . On the menu was Pepper Encrusted Beef Tenderloin, Yorkshire Pudding, and Green Beans with Garlic and Sauteed Mushrooms. and wine, and for dessert, Cynthia’s Peppermint Ice Cream topped with Chocolate Fudge.  And did I mention wine?

All in all, a memorable Christmas in Durango.
